About the Internship Program

Impact for Sustainability (I4S) Consulting is pleased to announce its Internship Program for recent and prospective university graduates interested in gaining practical experience in the consulting and development sector.

The internship program is designed to provide hands-on exposure to consulting projects, research assignments, and development initiatives across various sectors such as business development, agriculture, gender and inclusion, environmental management, socio-economic research, and project evaluation.

Selected interns will work closely with senior staff and consultants and will contribute to ongoing projects as Project Officer Interns or Junior Analyst Interns, supporting research, analysis, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Internship Objectives

The internship program aims to:

  • Provide practical professional experience in development consulting and research.
  • Build the analytical, technical, and professional skills of early-career graduates.
  • Support the implementation of research, advisory, and development projects undertaken by I4S.
  • Identify talented individuals who may grow into long-term roles within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Interns will support project teams in the following areas:

Project Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating consulting projects and research assignments.
  • Support the preparation of meeting materials, workshop documentation, and activity reports.
  • Assist in organizing stakeholder consultations, workshops, and field missions.

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct background research, literature reviews, and data collection.
  • Support quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Assist in drafting research reports, policy briefs, and project documents.

Project Development Support

  • Assist in preparing project concept notes and proposals.
  • Contribute to data gathering and background information for consulting assignments.

Monitoring and Documentation

  • Support project monitoring activities and documentation of progress.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and communication materials.

Job Requirements:

Eligible Fields of Study

Applicants should be recent graduates or final-year students from recognized universities in fields such as: Development Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness or Agricultural Economics, Accounting or Finance, Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management, Communication and Media Studies, Statistics or Data Science, Sociology, or related disciplines.

Additional Skills (Advantageous)

Applicants with practical or digital skills relevant to the consulting sector are highly encouraged to apply. These may include:

  • Graphic design and visual communication
  • Video editing and multimedia production
  • Digital content development and social media management
  • Data analysis and visualization tools
  • Statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, Python)
  • GIS and spatial analysis
  • Website and digital platform management
